Why the Elite Barre Method works: Founded and developed by Michele McEntire, the Elite Barre fitness method incorporates Ballet foundational movements with Calisthenics and Yoga. This unique workout, lengthens and strengthens muscles all while burning calories. What is included in a 60-minute Barre Class workout? You can expect 15 minutes of warm-up and stretch, 15 minutes of strength training with light weights, and 30 minutes of barre routine including isometric small movements and bigger cardio movements. This no impact exercise method is done with upbeat music to enhance the overall workout experience. Weights are optional and all movements can be modified to accommodate limitations and injury.

Class Descriptions Barre: All Barre classes are 60 minutes and combine beginning, intermediate and advanced fitness levels. You can expect a warm-up, light weights, balance, strengthening and barre workout. So no matter your fitness level, we welcome you to join us. Looking for the CLASS SCHEDULE?
Stretch: We focus on lengthening and elongating the muscles through stretch. Because we build muscles and work hard in class, it is very important to release tension, improve flexibility and increase range of motion. Improve balance and coordination along with posture. Relaxing dim lights and light music combined with therabands and yoga mats makes for a meditative environment. 30 minutes
What to Expect: -Can I try a class before I sign up for a membership? Yes, drop in is $20 for ages 15+. -What Should I bring to class? Please wear comfortable workout clothing, bring a water bottle. We do provide weights and yoga mats, however you are welcome to bring your own. All classes are done barefoot. NEW MEMBERS Start Here
-I am a beginning student, is Elite Barre for me? Yes, Elite Barre is designed for women of 15+ age, and for most sizes and fitness abilities. We often have beginners who have never taken a barre class before. After a few weeks, they feel stronger and more confident in their ability. We encourage patience as it is a new workout.

-What should I wear? Be comfortable. Sports bra and tank top, spandex shorts or leggings. Class is done in barefoot. You are welcome to wear socks with sticky bottom. Toes and heal cut out. We do not want you to slip.
-Should I eat before class? Yes absolutely! Protein for sure to keep you energized without fatigue. Suggestions are: protein shake, hard boiled egg, lowfat yogurt, lowfat string cheese, apple, etc.
-What if I have a past injury? It is recommended you get your doctor’s approval before taking class. Please notify the instructor of your injury/limitations and modify the workout for your individual needs.
-Do I need to have a dance background? No, the classes are designed for most fitness abilities, ages and sizes. The instructors help in their delivery of the workout by demonstrating and verbalizing to make it more effective and easier to comprehend. -Do I have to be coordinated? No, as with any physical exercise, it does take a few classes to get familiar with the exercise. Be patient, you will improve in all areas including agility, coordination, balance, flexibility, cardio, core strength and posture.
-What are the policies of the studio? *Hours of operation may change at anytime due illness, injury, holiday, low attendance, or no instructor coverage. Please be aware of our Instagram and Facebook group page for special announcements. *Studio Policies may change at anytime at the discretion of management. Studio policies are located inside the studio lobby.
-I have never taken Barre class before, what do I need to know? The 1st class is always the hardest because you do not know what to expect. We encourage our newcomers to come without any expectations. There is no pressure and no judgement. Everyone needs to start out in the beginning by being patient and kind to oneself - it is a very unique workout; with exercises most have never done before. Just relax and enjoy your 1st class by moderating your exertion and pace. We want you to enjoy your class and come back!
-Should I get my doctor’s advice before taking a class? It is recommended you seek your doctor’s approval before starting any workout program. -I am pregnant- should I take a barre class? If you have never taken barre class - we do not advise beginning a new exercise workout while you are pregnant. It is advised to seek your doctor's approval in writing before starting barre class.
-I want to start a workout program to feel better, stronger and healthier. How many classes a week should I take in order to see good results? A minimum of 3 classes a week, working up to 4-5 classes a week in order to see good, positive results, where you will see and feel the changes, and so will your loved ones.
-What kind of positive improvements can I receive by taking your class? Several including overall health: improved cardiovascular system – heart, lungs and circulation, blood pressure, improves brain health, lower BMI and improved BMR, reduced stress, reduce cholesterol, decrease/manage diabetes, increased energy, reduced weight and inches, increase core strength, balance, posture, flexibility, toning throughout your body from head to toe – neck, shoulders, chest, arms, back, abs, hips, glutes thighs, calves and feet. -I have not worked out for a long time, is this class for me? Yes, we combine all levels - beginner, intermediate and advanced students into the same class. Our instructors encourage all to work at their own capacity, modifying and pacing oneself at a comfortable rate. Newcomers and ladies who would like a less intensive workout take the class slower at their own pace, modifying as they need to for their own personal needs. Our intermediate and advanced students work at a faster tempo - higher intensity and usually have been with us for a while, challenging themselves at the tempo speed of the music.
